This revolutionary new push nut can be easily pushed on any threaded fastener and hand tightened or wrench tightened. You can use the "turn screw" or "turn nut" method of tightening. Compared with conventional machine screw nuts, it reduces the assembly time by 50% or more. It cannot rust or corrode. It can be easily removed and reused. It is made of non-reinforced Type 6.6 polyamide commonly called nylon and therefore does not "bite" into the bolt threads and injure the plating. The flexibility of the nylon threads provides a locking feature and at the same time provides a significant stripping force. It is also non conductive and can be used in many electrical applications such as printed circuit board assembly. No special tools are needed for assembly
The PUSHnTWIST nut comes in both Metric and Imperial sizes. You may have read about this revolutionary new push nut under the trade name Kingnut. Because of the forward flexibility of the nylon threads, a Push On - Twist Tight bolt retainer slides down smoothly, minimizing the ratcheting action which is characteristic of other spring steel push-on fasteners.
The PUSHnTWIST fastener holds firmly at any point on the threaded portion of the bolt shank, even when not seated against the mating panel. It can be easily removed by turning counterclockwise.
These fasteners are normally sold in quantities of 10, 100, 1,000 (or multiples thereof) but discounts are given for full carton orders. You may find that a carton order has the same or more pieces in the carton than an order for 100 or 1,000 and yet has a lower price because we are a volume supplier and reward the customer for volume business.
