Let Aaron's Push Nuts web site store be your single source for all your push nut needs. These industrial fasteners (sujetadores) as well as other types of fastening systems can be purchased from one of our Aaron's stores. We have dedicated this web store just for Push Nut users.
There are many different kinds of push nuts available. We sell four of the most popular types at this web site store. Following is a comprehensive description of each type.
Where most "push nuts" require pushing or turning to assemble the nut to the bolt or rod, our first product is a revolutionary new push nut that slips easily into place by pushing and then a partial turn will secure the assembly. We call it the PUSHnTWIST nut. It is made of nylon. It does not damage the plating on the mating fastener and it is easily removable if you desire to do so. It is also reusable.
Our next push nut is actually called a Palnut by its manufacturer, Trans Technology Corporation. The one pictured above is the capped washer type lock nut designated as a Style DE. It is turned to assemble, just the same as a standard hex nut. Because it has a certain degree of flexure, it is considered a "lock nut" when it is fully tightened. It can damage the plating on the mating fastener but it is easily removable if you desire to do so.
Although there are many types of spring nuts in the Tinnerman line, we have shown just the traditional or classic spring nut in the pictures above. This push nut is assembled onto the fastener by turning in the same manner as when installing a regular hex nut. The difference is that the fastener must be turned to secure the nut and not the nut itself. The nut "digs in" to the surface of the piece being secured and can damage the plating or otherwise scratch the surface of the assembly. It is easily removable by unscrewing the fastener, not the nut.
The fourth picture is also a Tinnerman product called a Pushnut. It is pushed onto the threaded fastener or unthreaded rod with a specially designed tool. It can damage the plating of the bolt or rod which may open the assembly to rust and corrosion. However, when it is installed to secure two pieces together, another regular hex nut may be installed to provide a higher mating pressure. Also, the Pushnut can not be removed without destroying the assembly. In other words it is not removable and reusable.
It should be noted that not all of the Palnuts, Spring nuts or Pushnuts sold on this web site are manufactured by Tinnerman. Some are actually clones made by competing manufacturers. The revolutionary new PUSHnTWIST nut sold on this web site may be found in other stores by the name of Kingnut.
All credit cards are accepted. If you need a quote by e-mail, Click Here. These push nut fasteners are normally sold in quantities of 10, 100, 1,000 (or multiples thereof) but discounts are given for full carton orders. You may find that a carton order has the same or more pieces in the carton than an order for 100 or 1,000 and yet has a lower price. Because we are a volume warehouse supplier, we reward customers for volume business when we do not have to break a carton, sort and count the order quantity and repackage both the ordered quantity and the remaining carton. Our web store prices are approximately 20% lower than our street prices at our physical store because most everything is automated and there are no phone or fax charges, no invoices and no labor for collections.
